WHY HAVE A BLOG?


For me, it’s a way to communicate with you using minimal social media. It’s a way to provide more information about my business & trade without forcing it on anyone… here it is, read if you like kinda thought process.


What to expect if you choose to read...

 

  1. Think micro-blog rather than lengthy articles; 500 words max
  2. No ads
  3. No carrying on with pointless details
  4. “Type like I talk” format. Not always the best but done is better than perfect

 

My goals for a blog…

 

  1. You gain trust in me as an experienced massage therapist and as a business owner in our community.

 

THAT’S IT! This is the only goal I need. All “sub-goals” stem from this one focal point. If I gain your trust and confidence, everything else falls into place.

What is this and why does it matter? Absolutely it matters and in a nutshell, the Flow is what you are purchasing as a part of your overall massage service. You are also purchasing the skills of the massage therapist, which is just as important as the Flow. The following paragraphs layout what my expectations are for your experience at Bodyworks.

Why you should choose Bodyworks as your go to massage place… only the best therapists work here. You are buying a service, therefore you are buying the skills of the service provider. It makes sense to choose an establishment that only allows the best service providers to work there.

Covid-19 has affected everyone in our community, city, state, and country. In order to adjust to the new world we live in, I have had to make several changes. Some are for the health and safety of our team and clients, other changes to ensure that Bodyworks will continue to provide services for many years to come. Why I am not a fan of excessive social media: I dislike that algorithms choose what [it thinks] I want to see I do not like being inundated with ads Majority of apps have one goal in mind & that is to keep you “playing” their app forever. Whether it’s a game or social media platform. They want you to never leave. There is much more to life & relationships outside our phones The Flip Side: If used correctly & sparingly, social media can be a great thing! An easy way to share your life with people you care about. Real people that in return care about you. Not curious about you but care about you, there’s a difference. You get to know me, my team, and philosophy and as a result you gain trust in us. The Conundrum I Find Myself In: Consumer vs Business Owner: Over the years I have felt stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to social media. The consumer (consuming information) vs the business owner (producing information). “They say” if a business isn’t shoving their info or product in your face, they aren’t doing something right. I disagree. I do not like constant presence on social media because I want you enjoying life not scrolling through pointless shit. As a consumer, I want to get on social, see my peeps and the businesses I support then I’m out. Off to do something more tangible. Here is where the problem has always been: needing to communicate with you and “sell my services” VS inundating your social feed to the point of redundancy. As a consumer, I hate the constant posts and buy this and buy that AND some of the same shit month in and month out. Since I don’t like receiving info that way, I don’t want to put out info in the same manner. As a business owner, I can’t ignore social media. In fact, it is a key component of my marketing strategy. Not necessarily to get new clients, but to regularly communicate with the clients we already have. To speak to the people who are interested in us. Who care about us. This is a HUGE reason I am starting this blog. I don’t want to be between a rock and a hard place anymore. I think this blog allows me a happy medium and hopefully continues to gain your trust and confidence.
