What is this and why does it matter? Absolutely it matters and in a nutshell, the Flow is what you are purchasing as a part of your overall massage service. You are also purchasing the skills of the massage therapist, which is just as important as the Flow. The following paragraphs layout what my expectations are for your experience at Bodyworks. 


The Flow of Experience is every step you would go through from the moment you decide you want/need a massage, all the way through to the point of checking out and leaving the office after your service. Managing the Flow of Experience ties for first place amongst my priorities as the owner. My other top priority is hiring exceptional therapists

Online Search

Over 90% of new clients come from an online search or referral from a friend. Even the referrals will end up going online to scope us out or look up our phone number. Once online you immediately see our four to five star rating and multiple great reviews. This step gives you the initial, quick impression of our business and what others are saying about their experience. From here you will click on our website to learn more.


Website Impression

Being that we are a “massage place”, our website needs to emulate trust and confidence. You need to see that we are not a creepy establishment and that we only have licensed, presentable therapists who work here. You need to feel like you can trust us while laying face down and half naked (or fully naked) in a dark room with a stranger, haha!! If you suffer from chronic issues or stress & tension, you want to know that the practitioner is skilled and knowledgeable and will help relieve you of your issues. You need to know that all practitioners are professional. The website needs to be simple to navigate, not overwhelming with information but enough to evoke confidence in our abilities. Navigating through the website needs to be easy and make you feel confident you are making the correct decision when it comes to your massage needs.


Scheduling

Scheduling your massage should be easy. I say should be because technically it should be easy to get an appointment with us. I will be the first to admit, this can sometimes not be as easy as I would want. Our appointment scheduler is easy to find on our website and fairly easy to navigate. However, what isn’t easy is finding an appointment that works well for your time frame AND with your requested therapist. We are a high demand group of therapists and we encourage rebooking and booking out in advance. This will sometimes lead to limited availability.


Pre-Covid we had a dedicated front desk receptionist to answer the phone every time it rang. Now, as a team, all the therapists answer the phone and return missed calls and voicemails in between clients. Therefore, you may call to schedule and it could take us up to an hour and half before someone calls you back. Rest assured we WILL call you back! This can be frustrating for some people and I understand and apologize for this inconvenience. This is just our new normal. We are dedicated to our regular and future clients and do our best to accommodate as many people as possible. We stay open until 7p M-F to be available for after work appointments. We are also open Saturdays to accommodate over the weekend. We close on Sundays to give the whole team an opportunity to rest, recharge, and be with family and friends. 


One aspect to scheduling with us that is different from other massage places, we do not require a credit card to book. This is on purpose. In no way do I want our clients to be concerned about unauthorized charges to their credit card. Requiring a credit card to book presents more cons than pros in my opinion, so we choose to not do this.


At this point in the Flow of Experience you are confident in your choice of Bodyworks and you’ve been able to secure an appointment with your requested therapist at a time that’s convenient for you. Now you’ve arrived at our office for your massage.


At the Office & During your Massage

You’ve arrived for your appointment and we are expecting you. Your therapist will greet you outside! Once inside you will notice the calm energy, soothing sounds, and pleasing aromatherapy. The office is clean with minimal clutter throughout. No products on the shelf to buy or anything that would make you feel pressured to purchase. You are here to relax and feel better, not inundated with more decisions. Your therapist will escort you to the massage room. Here you will notice more of the same. Calming atmosphere, pleasant aromatherapy, soothing meditation sounds, and the lighting is dim but not too dark.


If you are a new client, you will fill out your intake form, then discuss with your therapist why you are here for a massage. They will listen and customize the massage session to meet your needs. Each session is different based on the client. No cookie cutter massages. Once you and your therapist have finished communicating, he or she will exit the room and leave you to undress and get comfortable on the massage table… under the sheet and blanket of course :)


Once you are on the massage table, you will notice the heat from our heated tables, the weight of the blanket (not too much but just right), the sheets are clean and free from tears or stains, and you will feel yourself start to relax. For the next 30 minutes - 90 minutes you are receiving the customized massage session that you are expecting! You’ve turned your phone to airplane mode and you are free to breathe deep, clear your mind, and make no decisions. Of course if you need adjustments made, ie the table is too warm or the room is too chilly for your liking, please let us know. Communication is important so we can exceed your expectations. Majority of people prefer to not talk during their massage. So if you do need to make some modifications so you can wholly relax, feel free to tell us during the consultation time or at the beginning of the session. This way you can fully enjoy your experience with us. 


Checkout

Your massage session has ended. Your therapist will be waiting at the front desk for you. There is no rush to jump off the table and get out the room as fast as possible. We allot 30 minutes in between clients so no one is rushed around. We have bottled water for you, if you choose. More on why drinking water after a massage is important. Your therapist will share any final thoughts with you regarding your massage and make any necessary recommendations for the future. They will take payment and encourage rebooking. As I have mentioned earlier, we are a high demand facility and booking in advance is always a good idea! Last minute appointments can be difficult to accommodate. 


Your entire massage appointment is complete! It is the goal of my team to consistently exceed your expectations. Everyone is keenly aware that the Flow of Experience is priority along with delivering an amazing service! We want you to feel rejuvenated, refreshed, & zero hesitation about returning to see us! You work hard for your money and we appreciate that you choose to spend it locally with us!

Covid-19 has affected everyone in our community, city, state, and country. In order to adjust to the new world we live in, I have had to make several changes. Some are for the health and safety of our team and clients, other changes to ensure that Bodyworks will continue to provide services for many years to come.
